Attack of the Mountains

It is done... my best drawing ever... and not just because that is what the assignment was called. I feel this is the best representation of my skill to date. Although because I spent so much time on this I'm not feeling to warm and fuzzy about it right now, but in a few days (once I get some sleep again) I'm sure I'll be giddy.

This isn't illustrating any story in particular, its just a fantasy dragon/human battle. It is a drawing I have wanted to do for years, and I have made a couple of unsuccessful attempts, but this time I was successful. These huge mountain dragons are the updated/upgraded mountain dragon that I drew back in high school -> [link] They are like moving volcanoes. They are actually very quiet creatures and mostly spend their days scooping up soil and rocks to feed their inner inferno.... but when provoked they are nasty buggars. They spew forth the molten rock from their stomachs and "lava" pouch and just charge forward.... even an army of catapults and trebuchets don't stand a chance.

This thing is HUGE! And it is meant to be displayed huge. Thus the problem occurs that the resizing that is done so that it can be posted safely on the net has destroyed the detail. Thus I have uploaded a larger file, and if you have high speed internet(if not it may take forever to load) you can click download and see a larger version. The detail is still pretty ruined, but it is much better than the smaller view. I also took a few detail crops, none of them are at 100% even... just to give you a feeling for the size.
