Battle of the Centaurs

This was done for my life drawing class. We had to take two or more figures and place them in an invented environment. In my case I took that assignment a bit father and created two centaurs in an invented environment... why do I torment myself so??
I struggles to combine the human and horse bodies in a way that would make them "seamless" I beefed up the foreground figure(and failed at it) to match the more muscular horse body and left the archer slimmer to match his horse body(which I'm quite happy with).
This image has already been critiqued in class and I would appreciate it if you did not critique. I already know what is off/wrong with it. Thanks. Enjoy the fruit of my labors!

And a very gracious thank you to Marius who took a request from me(at the last min) for the two poses, even though he doesn't normally take requests, and he doesn't do stock much anymore. THANK YOU!
