I couldn't resist taking a break from class work to do this round of COW at conceptart.org

The Angelo Purificus is a species of "light" aligned dragons. They are called upon by forces of good during epic battles. Purificus' breath of Purity is a combination of light and flame. When it breathes its flame upon the battlefield it does not worry about friend or foe. The "light" part of its breath protects those aligned with the side of good. Those who are evil are not protected by the light and are thusly incinerated by the "fire" aspect of the Purificus' breath.

Background was done in Painter, Dragon in Photoshop.

I really love how detailes the msucles are. The shading is very soft and the wings are lovely :heart:! You did an excellent job on it

The way this is a dragon with a kind of pegasus feel to it from the wings gives it a soft but hardy look. The colours are great and the pose that it is in are awesome.

Thank you. :) I'm still not entirely happy with the way I render wings. I want to keep them a bit stylized, but currently they look too "fake". At least in the area of the little feathers along the forward part of the wing, the outer flight feathers I am very pleased with.

I really like how the wings are curved over his back like that. It adds a regal feel to his posture. The fire and light idea is really unique and looks awesome. :heart:

I really like the colors in the painting but it seems like the muscle structure is too defined for my taste. But I overall like it :D.
