Two more weeks until I walk. Two more weeks until I step into the real world. Two more weeks until the life I have known for 17 years comes to an end. I PASSED REVIEW!!!! I WILL BE GETTING A BFA!!!! HURRAY!!! Now to blow off some steam at the big party Saturday! Food, friends, and booze!!


Well I have just uploaded my Senior Show. I know that you all can't come and see it on display, but this is the next best thing. It will be up in the art department's gallery all next week, then on Thursday night there will be a meet and greet type reception for family and friends. I'll be showing with 2 other Seniors, both Illustrators like me, so it isn't a solo show like somebody else got. *wink* Although with as far behind as I got with all the computer mess, I doubt that I would have been able to pull off a solo show.

Now I have to stay sane while waiting until the review next Friday where I find out if I passed and can Graduate with my BFA.

One week and the culmination of my 4 1/2 years at college begins.

My fate will be decided by 3 Professors that I pray have open minds.

It will be decided by 3 men whether or not I pass and get my BFA, or if I fail and can no longer take art classes, or receive my BFA...That I slaved for 4 1/2 years to get.

Sweat, blood, and tears will come down to opinions and tolerance from an art community that I have always been on the outside of.

My Senior Show is fast approaching and I don't have much done. My computer issues put me about a month behind, and now lack of motivation is keeping me that way. I have to have all 8 paintings done by the 9th of Nov so that I can send them to the print shop and have enough time to fix any printing errors. It is nice having our own print shop, but the people who work there can be really undereducated on how to make artist quality prints. They once tried to give me a print that had been scratched up by the printer's print head... WTF?? I was the one that caught the damage only because I stood there and went over my prints with the gal looking at me like "why aren't you leaving?". Another one was so over saturated it looked black. They really need to have someone running that place that knows how to calibrate printers and can get good results.

I am very tempted to take out a loan from my parents(no interest! lol) and buy everything I would need to start up an artist quality print shop. The only one Lansing had is gone now because the guy moved out to Cali, so now I am searching for a place that has competent printing abilities... it would be so much easier if I was my own printer, lol. It is just a HUGE investment, not to mention I would have to rent a storefront and a bunch of other stuff that would be WAY over my head. Maybe my mother would be interested in going into business together, she is a wiz at business things and accounting and I can do the art and printing.
