So I got an email about this new art site called Artician.com. I checked it out, and besides feeling a little "facebooky", it looked promising. So I've joined up and loaded a few of my best images from DA there. Surprisingly they had an importer that can log in to your DA account and transfer the images from here to there. Really handy, but all my images have my DA web link on the bottom of them, so I'm going to have to go through and edit the images anyway. :/ Meh.

I don't know if I'll stay there or not, but I have been looking for a more clean and non-pornfilled art site to direct clients to, and this may just be the ticket.

Anyone else on there too? I feel a bit lonely over there... O.o [link]

I joined that site only a few days ago after recieving an email too lol, I'm guessing they're trying to sneakily convert some DA members? Haha. Anyway, it's nice to see a familiar face on there ^^ although they all generally seem quite friendly.
The only things I don't like about there so far are the few small bugs i've encountered. Are you having the same kind of problems? Where you can't edit any of your submitted works, or click on the control panel link? Hmm, I was wondering if it was just me, or a general problem with uploading straight from your DA gallery.
Anyway, good luck there, hope you like it :)

I didn't have any of those troubles. I did notice they have some kinks to work out though. There is a lot of scrolling around you have to do when editing submissions. When you click to edit, it should take you to the top of the new page, but it doesn't. Also some things are rather confusing, like the dashboard thingy. Hell if I can figure that out.

I think they are trying to convert DA people. lol The special import option appears only to be for DeviantArt galleries. I did have to go back and edit all my descriptions after I imported files from DA, it only caught about the first sentence or two. But that was the only issue I ran into.

There is a literature section too. It looks like Artician is for just about everything, fonts, web design, crafts, animation, photography and graphic design all in addition to art.

I am so getting on there at some point... I have had emails about it too and =ellastasia recommended it to me, I need to check it out properly when I have some more time! I am not even really using DA anymore at this point, I kind of feel my relationship with it is coming to an end. :(
